Hey, it’s NiyoJo, and I’ve got to tell you about one of the most surreal experiences of my journey so far—jamming with the one and only Stuart Epps. If you’re not familiar with Stuart (and trust me, you should be), he’s the studio engineer and producer behind some of the greatest hits of all time. I’m talking Elton John. Robbie Williams. The guy is a true legend in every sense of the word.
Working with Stuart wasn’t just inspiring—it was a masterclass in everything I love about music. His attention to detail, his passion for the craft, and the stories he shared about his time with icons like Elton and Robbie—it was like stepping into music history. And let’s talk about his guitar skills for a second. Stuart didn’t just engineer and produce; he picked up his guitar and absolutely shredded an incredible solo during one of our sessions. Honestly, I had to take a step back and soak it in.
What stood out the most, though, was how generous Stuart was with his time and knowledge. He didn’t just show up and run the show—he took the time to really connect, to guide me, and to share insights that I know will stay with me for the rest of my career.
